Tabuk Trip- Part 1 Getting from Here to There

So as I previously mentioned, I was blessed to be able to go and spend about 2 1/2 weeks in a smaller missionary clinic in Tabuk City, on the norther Island of Luzon. My friend Brenda was my traveling companion. Little did we know at the onset of our trip of the adventures that lay ahead....

Part 1- From Davao to Manila

Our flight from Davao to Manila was fairly uneventful. We had a good flight and were able to get a taxicab to the guest house where we were staying. After dropping off our luggage we decided to venture to MOA- the Mall of Asia- to find some dinner...

MOA  was an adventure...
the next day at the airport we found out that there was a computer glitch which in short caused a whole cascade of events which ended up with us purchasing new tickets for the next day.... not what we had been planning/expecting, but God knows best....
After this fiasco, we were both low on money we had with us and needed a hotel room for the night... we walked to the nearest one we could find. Way out of our budget... after taking in the situation though, the manager decided to give us the lowest price he could... when we put our money together to see if we could afford it... IT WAS THE EXACT AMOUNT! (well, with 50 pesos left over to buy dinner)....
The next day our flight went smoothly and we continued on safely to the airport and then took a van ride to get to Tabuk... on the way we  almost ran into a herd of Caribao, but it was tons of fun!
Well, Next post will be about some of the fun times in Tabuk....
