Blessings of Christmas

With Christmas come and gone yet again, I reflect on time and how quickly it passes. God is so good to give me such a wonderful family and so many friends. I really appreciate it, especially when I observe other people. I was able to work for a few hours Christmas evening. It really made me thankful for my family. I saw one man, he couldn't speak, so as I fed him, I told him of my Christmas. Family traditions, the kids opening their presents, of everything I love about Christmas. To see his face, the look of excitement and gladness, just to hear of Christmas with family. I am so thankful that God has blessed me so much! He honestly has blessed each and everyone of us. As a child of the King, we should be so thankful for all that our King provides for us. Christmas is a time to reflect on the greatest gift of all that He has given us... His Son, Jesus Christ.

I am so glad that I am finally home. God helped us through it all. Although we were delayed for many hours, I am now safe at home. What a joy it was to see my father at the airport. Just seeing him caused my heart to swell and tears to flow. How much more joyful will it be when we see our heavenly Father? I can not wait for that day. Will I throw myself into His loving arms as I did to my earthly father?

I am reminded of the hymn that says "What a day that will be, when my Jesus I shall see. When I look upon His face, the one who saved me by His grace. When He takes me by the hand, and leads me through the promise land, What a day, Glorious day, that will be."

What a day that will truly be. Even so, come Lord Jesus...

Going Home

God is so good! He has brought me through another semester at college. I am finally on my way home. I give Him all the glory and honor. I am nothing without Him! As I watch people swarm in the airport, I wonder, how many know the Lord? How many aren't just going home for the holidays, but are ultimately on the long road home?
